Mexico Vacay 2018

We just returned to Winnipeg from a week long stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. At the end of December we decided to take a vacation with our friends Will and Carleigh. Our vacations of late have all been “work-related” in one way or another, so we were excited to get away with no strings attached! Our stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico was an impromptu one, simply going with a gut decision. The hotel is brand new, having opened in December 2017, and the reviews were great, so we took the risk.

It quickly became evident that we made the right decision! It is an incredibly beautiful resort that rivals any guest experience we’ve ever had. The service, the food, the beaches, the pools and the endless list of potential activities rank this hotel in a class of its own!

Over the course of the week we spent countless hours on the beach reading, tanning and swimming.

We regularly visited one of the beachside restaurants for lunch. Carved out of rock, the restaurant gave us an incredible view of the ocean and a diverse menu!

Most nights we found ourselves at a bar in another restaurant. We befriended a team of bar tenders, Vicor, Ivan and Santos, and we started dance parties as the live DJ tore it up!

Our resort also included free access into seven local nature and adventure parks, which we also capitalized on, but completely forgot to document.

Our seven days in Mexico can be characterized by beautiful sunshine, good company and a perfect location. For all you honeymooners, or anyone looking to take a break from this Canadian cold, we wholeheartedly recommend checking our Hotel Xcaret Mexico.
