Skate Date at The Forks

We are true Winnipegers. The cold didn't stop us and over our Christmas holidays, we made our way to The Forks to skate the trails. This place holds a very special spot in both of our hearts as Jordan asked me to be his girlfriend on the river trail at The Forks almost 5 years ago! We both love skating and spending time in the heart of our city was the perfect winter date!

Our cheeks were rosy and our eyelashes were icicles, but tea from Fools & Horses kept us warm! After we came in from outside, we shopped the market and drooled over the smell from Tall Grass Bakery (we could eat those cinnamon buns all day long).

Lastly, we had to walk under the new light tunnel The Forks set up this holiday season! We've been seeing it all over Instagram and it is even more magical in real life!

We are pretty cheesy, but being a tourist in our own city is something we love to do! Here's to more skate dates in the future!
