5 Year Anniversary Shoot at Brereton Lake

As wedding videographers who live in Winnipeg our summer weekends are often filled with other people’s weddings. That means that our anniversary, July 24, is often a work day for us. For example, we spent our first anniversary in a campground on Vancouver Island while working on a film project and we spent our fifth anniversary shooting a wedding out in Winkler. We’ve always been intentional to find the time to properly celebrate our anniversary and this year that meant calling our friends Tedi and Evan to come out to the lake and capture us in our element.

When we’re not shooting weddings in the summer you will find us enjoying the sunshine at Brereton Lake in the Whiteshell. Lauren’s family has owned a cottage on the lake since the 1930s and over the years it’s become a special place for us to retreat to, taking time to enjoy the short summer that Manitoba has to offer.

Our vision for the day was simple, we wanted to be captured doing things that we do in just the same way we do them, then we’ll write each other letters and read them at sunset on an island. Tedi and Evan captured the perfect photos and video and we were thrilled to have these as a special memory!
