Taking Tofino, Again

This year, in the middle of our wedding season, we decided to take a quick Monday through Friday trip to Tofino, British Columbia. Tofino has a special place in our hearts and we knew that a little ocean water and west coast beer was needed for us to reconnect and relax mid-summer.

If you’re headed up to Tofino in the summer make sure to give yourself some time to enjoy the drive. We’ve always loved stopping along the way to take in some of nature’s best. You won’t be disappointed.

This year we stayed at Long Beach Lodge Resort, our new favourite accommodation in Tofino. Our Oceanfront Room walked out onto the beach and was more than we ever could’ve asked for. Absolutely stunning.

One of the things that draw us out to Tofino is the opportunity to surf. Tofino and it’s surrounding beaches are the surf capital of Canada and for us landlocked prairie people, it’s an other-worldly experience. Being able to enjoy the ocean develops a deep appreciation and respect. Anyways, that’s a recap of our most recent trip to Tofino!
