Honeymooners Take B.C.
WE GOT MAAARRIED!!!!! And it was absolutely, hands down, the BEST day of our lives! Not only did we have the wedding of our dreams, we got to spend the next two weeks traveling beautiful British Columbia together. We started our honeymoon by making our way to Tofino, B.C. ... and let us tell you, Tofino is one of our favourite places on this planet. This little surfing town captured our hearts and the people who live there have the most chill, carefree spirits! We walked the beaches, shopped the town, enjoyed some of the best food we've ever eaten, whale watched on a Zodiac, and took in the ocean air every moment we could!
On our way back from Tofino, we stopped at Cathedral Grove and Wally's Creek which are two of the tourist look out points along the highway. Cathedral Grove is home to some of the tallest redwood trees and has incredible hiking trails throughout the forest. Wally's Creek is a mountain stream and rapids with incredibly crystal clear water (we even took a drink right from the falls). Both places are necessary to stop at when driving the Pacific Rim highway.
The next leg of our Honeymoon adventures took us on a ferry from Vancouver Island to Vancouver itself! We spent our days shopping Gastown, watching fireworks on a pier in North Vancouver, walking the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge, touring Granville Island, meeting up with friends and we made it to Grouse Mountain where we accomplished the Grouse Grind (for those of you who have done this hike, you know what an accomplishment this is haha).
The final B.C. destination our Honeymoon adventure took us to was Victoria. Jordan spent a portion of his childhood in Victoria, so he was particularly excited to be back. We visited family, ate breakfast at Jam Cafe, walked the breakwater, and just relaxed together.
So there is a short recap of our Honeymoon adventures! We are so excited for the future as the best is yet to come! Here's to more airplane rides, exploring new places, meeting new people, eating yummy food, embarking on crazy adventures, and doing it all together!
